fEast for all the family – 10 Family friendly reasons to visit the main event on this Sunday 8th September in Midleton

This year’s fEAST festival has a strong focus on family fun with child friendly events and workshops running all day and it looks like we are all in for a treat. Get yourself down to Midleton on Sunday the 8th of September. It is definitely one of my favourite days locally in the year. Now lets just hope for nice weather!!!!

Since 2017 year fEast Cork has stepped up onto the solid foundations created by the Midleton Food Festival over the past fifteen years, and started to build a festival that stretches beyond Midleton to the charming Ballinrostig and the stunning seaside jewel of Ballycotton, creating a new focus for a young festival with old values and traditions, designed to celebrate this embarrassment of riches of a region. Full details of all this years events for Feast are on feastcork.ie running from the 1st and 8th of Sept. f

Bringing together a host of hardworking, innovative food producers from all over this landscape that is largely defined by food production and food heritage, fEast Cork is a celebration and showcase that mixes the old and new, the traditional and the innovative.

Thanks to the fEast organisers this year there are loads more on for kids (Thanks Reidin!) Here is a list of the activities that are child friendly on the Market day in Midleton town on the Sunday 8th of September (normally it is on the Saturday don’t forget!)

The Food! Let’s be fair it is a food festival so the smells around town are just amazing. Always a fun day out to try the local produce. There is a great buzz around Midleton and I always like getting off the mainstreet and going into the courtyard where the Granary Foodstore is (Coach Horse Lane) and Sage Courtyard also so I think they are both worth checking out. Full events are listed on feastcork.ie
